AVCs

Some members paid in extra to their pension. This was either by paying extra salary as an Additional Voluntary Contribution (AVC) or by paying towards Added Years AVCs. The Added Years AVC's gave members the chance to buy additional years of pensionable service in the Scheme.

All contributions to the Scheme stopped in September 2012, unless you had stopped paying AVCs or Added Years AVCs before then.

If you did pay AVCs or if you had an Added Years AVC, the details of the AVCs you paid, and the options that these AVCs will give you at retirement will be included in your retirement forecast and retirement pack, available from WTW when you are ready to be paid your pension.
