General queries or problems

If you have any pension queries or problems, you should first contact the People Admin Team.

If you are unable to resolve your query or problem in this way, there are other channels you can use:

Scheme documents

You can find the Scheme's key documents in the library section.

  • Report and Accounts
Each year the Trustees of the Scheme report on the progress of the Scheme together with the formal Accounts. A copy of the Report and Accounts is available on request from People Admin.
  • Trust Deed and Rules
You can also ask People Admin to see a copy of the Trust Deed and Rules of the Scheme. You will be kept informed of any changes made to the Scheme.

Tracing previous pension rights

All approved pension schemes, like ours, have to provide up to date contact details to the Pension Tracing Service. If you have lost track of your deferred benefits under a previous scheme, you can contact the Pension Tracing Service who will provide you with an up-to-date address of the trustees of that scheme.

Internal disputes procedure

The Trustee hopes that any queries or complaints regarding the Scheme can be resolved informally to your satisfaction with the Scheme Administrator or Scheme Secretary. However, if any complaint cannot be resolved informally, the Trustee does have a procedure for resolving internal disputes which you can use if you would like your complaint to be treated in a formal manner by the Trustee.

You can obtain a copy of the procedure from the Scheme Secretary using the contact details below:

Pensions Ombudsman

The Trustee has a procedure for resolving internal disputes which you can use if you would like a complaint to be treated in a formal manner by the Trustee (see above). If you are unhappy with the outcome of your complaint after completing both stages of the Trustee's procedure, you can refer your complaint to the Pensions Ombudsman free of charge.

The Pensions Ombudsman deals with complaints and disputes which concern the administration and/or management of occupational and personal pension schemes. The Pensions Ombudsman generally expects members to have made a formal complaint to the Scheme and to have completed all stages of the Trustee's procedure before it will consider a complaint. A determination of the Pensions Ombudsman is final and binding on all parties to the dispute and subject to appeal only on a point of law.
